If you have an existing WordPress blog with decent traffic and audience, you can make money with WordPress in 48 hours or even less. That’s not far-fetched.

In days, I have seen bloggers go from zero to making hundreds of dollars online from a single product or affiliate marketing campaign. But first, you need to set a goal and determine what money you need.

Is it $500, $1000, $2000, or more? More is not a goal; you must be specific about how much you want to earn from your WordPress blog in 48 hours.

Your target will determine the type of monetization and traffic strategy you need to explore. And it will give the roadmap for its execution.

For this article, I will set a more realistic goal of making your first $500 in 48 hours and the process to attain it.

So let’s get started…

How to Make Money With WordPress

Now, to meet our target of making $500 in 48 hours with WordPress, we have a few solid options:

1. Sell an eBook

The first option I would advise is to create and sell an ebook. It is the easiest way to make money with WordPress in less than 48 hours.

Selling your product, like ebooks and other products or services, is one of the best ways to make money on a blog without ads.

You’re not depending on traffic volume or random clicks to earn from the blog.g

Let’s do the math. If you priced the ebook at $7, you have roughly 72 sales to hit your goal of $500. Assuming your landing pages convert at 3%, you need an estimated 3,000 unique visitors within two days.

Can you get 3,000 targeted unique visits to your ebook sales page within two days? The answer is up to you, but I will show you a few proven traffic methods.

Let’s move on…

Like I said at the beginning of this article, if you have an existing WordPress blog with lots of relevant content on a particular topic, you’ve got what it takes to create an ebook in a few hours.

You don’t need to start writing the book from scratch. My first ebook was born from putting together blog posts in an organized way, easy to read, and in one comprehensive format.

Here are the steps to create and sell your ebook in 48 hours.

Step 1. Research The Topic

You need to research which topic your audience is interested in learning more about. You can figure this out by looking into your Google Analytics account.

Look at the landing pages, time on sites, site search, and engagement. This information will give you insights into which content topics your audience cares for.

Another source of audience data you can dig into is your Facebook page audience insights. Look for audience engagement, age, demographic, and post.

Knowing which content your audience is interested in will remove the guesswork. And you’re more likely to hit your goal of making sales when the book is launched.

Step 2. Organize The Content

Now that we know which topics resonate with our audience, it’s time to start publishing content.

If you want to write from scratch, it will take more time, resources, and effort. You don’t need to start from the bottom since you already have relevant posts on the topic.

You need to search your content archive and gather all related posts. At this stage, you’re only looking for content on the subject.

For example, let’s assume that from your analysis, affiliate marketing is a topic your audience is more interested in learning.

What you need to do is to gather all posts related to affiliate marketing on your blog.

If you’ve been giving value to the topic in the past, your ebook will be something like the A-Z of affiliate marketing.

After identifying all the content, copy and paste it into a word processor like Google Docs or Microsoft Word. This is where your work begins.

Step 3. Create The Ebook

Now, what you need to achieve here is to make the content unique, organized, more quality, and valuable. Add more content, images, bullet points, unique layouts, designs, testimonials, proof, etc.

You need to add more value to your ebook and make it worth paying. It needs to be different from what they’ve read on your blog.

Starting with your blog content aims to get ahead quickly, scale the content writing process, and save time.

Remember, we have 48 hours to deploy all our marketing tactics and immediately make money. It won’t be easy, but we must be smart about our strategy and scale where necessary.

So, don’t waste time where you don’t have to. There are plenty of tasks to complete on the way.

The next thing you need to achieve here is the cover design. And the overall layout of the book. You can use a free online tool like Canva to create a perfect book layout and cover design.

Canva is free, and you can sign up from this link.

Step 4. Marketing Methods

You’ll need to promote your book so more people can see it. This is the only way to make money in 48 hours or less.

You must put effort into promoting your book; otherwise, nobody will know it exists. There are many tactics to promote an offer; here are a few you can explore:

  • Email List – If you have active email subscribers, they are your first point of contact. While putting the book together, you should send your email list a warmup message. You can do this 3-4 times before the book is ready. Once your book is out, email your list and give them a link to the sales page.
  • Your Blog – Put your book on your blog’s homepage, sidebar, and after content. Create a dedicated landing page for it, also. Make sure you’re promoting it in all prominent places on the blog.
  • Social Media – This is no secret; your followers are among your best marketing channels. Tell your followers about your book and how it can help them achieve better results. If people find value in following you, they will listen to your advice and recommendations.
  • Paid Marketing – If you want to make money with WordPress in 48 hours maximum, paid marketing is something you must consider for your ebook. You don’t need to spend big. You can start with $10 – $20 daily on Facebook ads. Advertise for two days and see what happens. You aim to convert cold traffic into email subscribers so you can send subsequent marketing campaign newsletters via email.

Whether you sell your ebook on marketplaces like Amazon or not, you must drive traffic to your offer.

Talking about the marketplace to sell your book, you can get your book listed on Amazon, Goodreads,

Step 5. Make Money

If you have completed all the above steps by now, you should be on your way to your first $500 online.

All your efforts will be rewarded with how many people you can get to visit your landing pages. The more people that see and interact with your sales pages, the more the potential to earn money.

It’s not rocket science; you need two things at most to make money online – a good product and targeted traffic. I have given you the road map to create both.

2. Affiliate Marketing

Unlike the processes involved in creating your ebook, affiliate marketing is a quick way to make money with WordPress in 48 hours.

You don’t need to own a product. You don’t need to set up product landing pages.

You only need to find an existing product in your target market to promote. And an audience that trusts your advice and recommendations.

That’s all you need to start as an affiliate marketer. I know because I’m an affiliate marketer.

You can try affiliate marketing if you already have an audience and have established a blog.

Here are the steps to get started :

  • Find an affiliate program for a product you already use. Affiliate marketing is easier when promoting a product you know, like the back of your palm.
  • Sign up to become an affiliate marketer and get your affiliate links and other marketing materials.
  • Write product reviews based on your experience and case use. Add your affiliate links where necessary within the content. Use call-to-action buttons.
  • Promote the content using free traffic channels. You have to be careful using paid marketing for your affiliate review content. Many affiliate programs don’t allow paid marketing or bidding on brand terms. It is strictly prohibited and can get your affiliate account suspended or outright canceled.
  • Promote products with at least $50 in affiliate commission. It will help you reach $500 quickly. You only need to make ten sales to reach your goal.

If you have existing email subscribers, send them your review post and insert your affiliate links in the newsletter.

But always remember to disclose your affiliate relationship in every content you write with your affiliate link.

It is the law, and you have to abide by it.

Affiliate marketing is a reliable business model, but you must understand that it is difficult for a beginner. Building trust, a loyal audience, quality content, traffic, and sales takes time.

If you keep pushing and consistently publish quality content and write product reviews, you’ll make it happen gradually.

The key is always to give value and write about your experience using products and services on the blog.

3. Sell Course Program

If you want to make money creating content online, selling courses is the way to go. You don’t need to be a guru or expert to create a course program that people pay you to learn.

You need to find a few people you’re one step ahead of in your niche. An audience that is willing to learn something you already know.

Subscribe to an e-learning platform where you can gather and learn together in an organized way and environment.

This is where online learning platforms like Thinkific or MightyNetwork come in. These platforms allow anyone with creative thinking to sell his knowledge to an audience without dealing with all the technicalities in the setup process.

All you need to get started is your course materials, and you’re all set up for success. Prepare your course materials beforehand, and consider your goal and the students.

What do you intend to achieve by creating the course?

And how will it help the students move from point A to point B? In what format is the course best delivered? Is it video, audio, image, or text?

You need to think about all these before creating the course so you don’t waste your time on something that won’t help anyone.

Here are the steps to create an online course:

  • Research your audience and the market – Know what people in your niche want to learn. Put yourself in the student’s shoes and think of the best way to serve them.
  • Determine the course topic – the course topic should be something you have great industry insight, expertise, credibility, and passion for. Preferably, something you can keep talking about and teach others even if you’re not getting paid to do so.
  • Choose the course format – The format you package and deliver your course determines how much you can charge. If this is your first time, I will advise you to start with a mini-course program. Something around $100 or less doesn’t require extensive learning. It should be something students can complete within a day or two.
  • Validate Your Course Topic – Before you go full swing creating the course materials and spending money on ads and the course platform, test your ideas to determine whether it’s something that people care about. One way to do this is to run a webinar. Use a webinar to test your knowledge, audience, and the market.
  • Launch a Pre-Sell order – To save you time, energy, and resources, launch a course pre-sell order. Pre-sell also helps you validate your idea for profit and margins. If you can get people to pre-order your course, that’s a good sign to go ahead.
  • Course outline – Write and clearly define how each module and lesson will be delivered. Prepare content for each lesson and what the students must complete before moving to the next.
  • Course Format – You need to determine the format of your course. It is a video, text, downloadable, audio, et
  • Course Price – Your course price should reflect the value it offers the student. And you also need to set a target for yourself. Suppose you intend to generate $1,000 in sales, and the course price is $50. How many sales are required to reach your goal? Do you get the point?
  • Choose Your Course Platform – There are different types of online course platforms with different features and purposes. If you need more control over your business, try Thinkific or MightyNetwork.
  • Launch and Advertise – It’s time to tell the world about your business. Run paid ads, market on social media, send an email broadcast, leverage existing connections, appear on other people’s blogs, etc.

As you can see, creating and selling your knowledge online is not easy, but not impossible.

You need to prepare for it and think about your goal and how you intend to go about it.

Conclusions…

While you can make money with WordPress in 48 hours from any of these strategies, you should look to build a long-term business.

Online marketing is not a get-quick-rich thing.

If you’re of the mindset that you can become a millionaire overnight by setting up a blog in a day, working a few hours, and seeing your bank accounts filled up with money, you’ll be disappointed.

Building a business online takes months or years of consistent hard work.

Internet marketing is no different from any other business. You must learn the trade, build an audience, master your game, and build a brand.

The quicker you understand this, the better.
