If you have a website, looking for ways to improve it, get better ROI (return on investment) from your digital marketing strategy and get more from it, then you have come to the right place.

UX (User Experience) has become increasingly important in the effectiveness of any website’s digital marketing. Understanding useful facts and stats will help you make improvements to your own website.

So, this infographic of 15 Website and UX Stats of 2019 will be extremely useful to you.

One stat to point out is that you only have 10 seconds on average to impress your website’s visitors. In that short space of time, you need to have done enough to impress them so much that they will want to do business with you.

So, think hard about the content that you have at the top section of your website and also consider how long it takes for your pages to load. If you have slow-loading pages, then you have even less time to impress your website’s visitors!

That is not the only problem regarding slowness, as slow image loading times can cause 39% of users to abandon your website. This is one of the biggest concerns with UX, so getting images and pages loading quickly is a big factor in having a good website.

2 out of 3 minutes spent online are via mobile, any website that isn’t particularly mobile-friendly is going to suffer.

Mobile users who find websites difficult to use will react by going to other businesses’ websites instead of buying from them after getting frustrated with your website.

Video content is 53 times more likely to reach the first page of Google. If you are looking to give your traffic a real boost, video content is a channel that you should be investing in.

Video content is predicted to become even more popular in the future. Don’t miss a trick with video content on your website.

Here are 15 user experience and website stats to help your marketing strategy in 2022. Though this information was compiled in 2018, most of it is still relevant today as it was then.

  1. Hi Shamsudeen and Jann!

This is an awesome infographic, lots of actionable tips that can really open your eyes as to just how important good UX design actually is!

One thing that this article made me think about was the use of heatmap software, which I think is very important, especially for eCommerce or SaaS sites. Points 5, 7, 10 and 15 could have been noticed quickly by somebody checking out their heatmaps regularly and could have made the improvements needed.

    Great article, thanks again!

  5. Great infographic Jann and Shamsudeen.
    I love easily digestible information.

I agree that UX is everything online. The best SEO in the world won’t save you from a disastrous effect of crappy design and abysmal loading time.

  6. Hello Jann & Adeshokan,

User experience is becoming an increasingly important topic in today’s digital environment.

As a digital marketer it can sometimes be difficult to know what’s relevant, what isn’t and how it’ll impact your work.

Building a positive user experience for your potential customers is essential to boosting customer satisfaction and repeat business.

And this is also the best way to differentiate your product or service in today’s competitive marketplace.

In my opinion – User experience is becoming an increasingly popular feature of the digital landscape.
