Let’s get started!

A Short Story…

When I stepped into blogging in July 2012, I knew nothing about it (Blogging). I was a complete novice like many who dabbled into blogging by accident.

That didn’t bother me because I know there is always a first time for everything. Once you take out the first time, you’re going forward and making progress.

So now, I can’t imagine enough how many places I have touched online to have reached where I am today that people consider me as a coach/mentor on blogging and internet marketing.

It was funny when I remembered some years ago. I had to open an email account under the watchful eye of a friend.

Who is more like a brother to me.

But today, when internet marketing is discussed and how money can be made from it…I can showeffectivelyBIG the rabbit hole.

He still wonders how effectively I use laptops and the internet to my advantage—teaching others how to do the same thing I am doing.

You, too, can move from a novice to an expert level “only” if you’re ready to follow these three simple steps. And along the line…make money for yourself.

But there is no gain without pain. You have to follow this process… it’s important.

Rand Fishkin, “the wizard of Moz,” is known and regarded as one of the finest in the SEO industry by many – even by Google.

Neil Patel is one of the best internet marketers the internet ever produces, right?

While John Chow, Pat Flynn, and Ewen Chia are some of the super affiliates this internet business model ever saw.

But have you thought about this?

These people once knew nothing about their industry.

They were once like you and me when we started with this crazy thing called blogging or internet marketing.

They are clueless and can’t figure out the next positive thing to do, guaranteed to bring success.

So how do they move from that stage to the next?

How Can I Make My Blog More Successful?

The answer is simple but with lots of twists and sacrifices…

The more you ask yourself this question, the more likely you will succeed in finding solutions to it.

What I’m about to share with you are the characteristics of a successful blog.

The process of building a better blog requires three fundamental principles. These principles are the foundation of a successful blogging career.

It demands effort, patience, consistency, and regular updating of your industry knowledge. So you can give back to the community that made you.

1. Acquire knowledge

Yes, that’s it!

You only need to move from where you’re today to where you want to be tomorrow to acquire the proper knowledge. This knowledge is the bridge between you and your dreamland.

Have you seen a man who is a successful professional doctor without first acquiring the necessary knowledge, skills, and experience to excel in such a field?

Oatcourse not!

It doesn’t matter if you’re not so good at SEO, even if you have never heard of the concept. You don’t know how to blog. If you don’t see how the internet works… don’t worry; everyone has a beginning.

Take the first step, and don’t be afraid to ask questions.

Follow top blogs that write on relevant topics. Subscribe to their newsletter. Follow them on Twitter and like them on Facebook. Read their blogs constantly and make it a habit to always research for the information you need.

Knowledge and skills come along at the back of years or period of hard work, constant learning, regular practices, focus, determinations, persistent, and many that you can found in every successful man around. Without the strong will or desire for learning, achieving success in life may seem like a mirage.

Learn! Learn!! Learn!!! Till your heart stop working.

So how do you begin your learning process?

Since you’re new to this terrain and don’t know how to figure your way around…follow the advice below.

Join Bloggers Communities

Blogger communities are the perfect places to kick-start your learning process. The amount of valuable information and knowledge you get in these places can’t be measured in monetary cost.

The first blogger community I joined was a group of bloggers called Bloggers Lab on Facebook.

This group of like-minded people helped, in no small measure, shape my humble self-blogging career to where it is today.

I learned and discovered a great deal of information in this group. The good news is that tons of niche-related groups are available today on Facebook. And numerous other places on the internet you can join.

You’re what you read.

This phrase is as accurate as ever. If you want to become a doctor, read books that dedicate their teachings to becoming a great doctor.

One of the best books I have ever read on blogging is by Darren Rowse and Chris Garret, “Secret for Blogging Your Way to a Six-Figure Income.”

It is worth reading.

If you go to the Amazon bookstore, you will find many helpful books on creating a blog for free and making money from it.

2. Implement

Acquiring knowledge is just half the journey to building a better blog; the real battle is strategically implementing what you’ve learned.

How do you know those tricks or tips you’ve read from blogger “A” work, as he said if you don’t implement them?

Men fixing puzzles together

Most SEO blogs you read today are born from the blogger’s frustrations to reach Google’s top ten result page.

In finding what works and what’s not, he tested out so many SEO tricks and tactics, which resulted in gaining valuable experiences worth sharing with others over time.

Let me share some behind-the-scenes you’re not opportune to see about my blogging journey.

When I started this blog, I didn’t like writing, and not just that, I didn’t even know how or what to write. I have no story to tell, especially blogging for money.

So what did I do?

I searched for top creative writing blogs and found CopyBlogger through a friend’s recommendation and Darren Rowse’s pro blogger.

So I devote my time to learning from these two blogs. And from there, I discovered other authority blogs like Entrepreneur-journey and the like (Now Yaro.blog)

This stage I have explained in step one above. I started learning by reading their blog daily and practising what I learned.

One of the finest things I learned or observed closely from reading these two blogs is their content structures.

The contents are structured, which makes reading pleasing and inviting to the eye. I observe this closely and return to my blog to see how things look.

I was embarrassed.

My eyes were opened to the ugly-looking structures I have been writing my content ever since.

So I changed.

I practice on my blog what I discover and believe to be the right way to create content structures. And the result shows an increase in page view and time on site.

My next blog project is in search engine optimization and website traffic. Why do I choose or wants to blog on this topic?

Over the years here at CyberNaira, one of the most significant challenges I have faced is getting to know the “basics” of how to reach Google’s top ten results for your target keywords.

I have read many SEO theories and tested many SEO strategies, tactics, tricks, and anything you can think of. Some have been positive. Many just proved to waste time, resources, and energy.

So, I believe it’s time for me to share my experience with the rest of the world in the SEO industry.

This takes us to the final stage of building a better blog.

3. Start Teaching Others

There is no good being selfish with your knowledge after you’ve gone through the learning phase and validation, only to keep the knowledge to yourself.

No! That will be too bad of you.

But you need to be aware of something before rushing out to teach others what you “think” you know.

“Validation is important” – you must have tested, tried, analyzed, and discovered what is practically working from what might be a fluke.

When you’re sure that a strategy you’re using to achieve a particular success is at least 80% of the time positive, it is guaranteed to give you the expected result, so you can freely share it with others.

You must have tested and implemented it and confirmed it is working and good enough to share with others.

This is one of the reasons it is not advised able for a beginner to start a blog on making money online niche; why?

You must show practical examples of making money from your blogging activities for people to take you seriously.

If you’re writing on how to make $$$ online without showing case studies, income reports, no proof of earnings, etc., people will consider you just another blogger on the blogosphere.

You don’t want that. You want to be seen as an expert in your industry; you want to be the go-to guy.

So learn it, do it, and then…teach it.

  3. Hey Shamsudeen,

    Learn, implement and teach!

Those are the basic ingredients to build a great blog, but yet they are powerful. You want to be knowledgeable at your craft and be able to be the “go to” person to give other bloggers some type of productive directions.

This can only come when you implement these three elements. And if you can show proof of great results, then this is even better. This will give hope to others that what you’ve learned and implemented makes it possible to be a successful blogger.

Thanks for sharing! Have a great upcoming weekend!

  7. Hi shamsudeen, This article is very straightforward: Learn, Practice and Teach others.

It required only but a bit of patience to go through these routes and have it done completely. Also, this reminds me of my earlier days of blogging, and there was no fun at all – I learn most of what i know now by experimenting ideas and queries by myself.

I take out what works and get ride the others.

so i won’t regret not have found a post as this during our startup hour, for it happens for a reason.

Even at this age, I’ll still find it helpful; thank you for the heads up – Sham!
